As in many industries, Information Technology has poked its head into education too. People are competing to find new ways to educate others and share knowledge in today’s virtual world.

Kuppiya.com is such an effort which tries to provide a service and a platform to share one’s knowledge with others. These video tutorials are very enthusiastic and interesting medium of learning than the traditional method of studying. Kuppiya.com was inspired by “learnvisualstudio.net”.

Currently the site has over 50 comprehensive videos covering topics like PHP, SQL, C++, JAVA, .NET, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML and Shell Scripting. No member registrations are required or no need to bother about making payments for the videos that you are downloading. All videos in Kuppiya.com are FREE to download and distribute.

Being huge fans of video tutorials, we realized the lack of Sinhala resources in the IT field. It is really frustrating to see that every available resource is in English.  There are numerous websites offering tutorials and products in English, most of which have to be purchased at high prices and not affordable for us Sri Lankans. But, with our innovative idea of Kuppiya.com site, no charges are to be paid. All videos that are in Sinhala medium are FREE to download and share!

 Our mission:

 Kuppiya.com is in a mission to emphasize the power of SHARING KNOWLEDGE which is lacking in Sri Lanka. Western communities are thriving in knowledge sharing. They rapidly develop and evolve in the field of technology. It is the time to leave behind our attitudes and start working for the betterment of Sri Lankan IT community, where every one helps each other and share knowledge and experience.

Kuppiya.com is co founded by Kusal Arthanayake and Kalpani Manatunga. This site has a team of volunteers devoting their time and effort to share their knowledge with everyone. They are:

Most of the other videos are created by the site founders.

In future, we are looking forward to add more categories covering more broader and complex areas of IT. The site management has an idea of going beyond IT and start working on other subject areas like Management, Engineering etc. Though the site is only in Sinhala, we have new plans to add Tamil videos for our Tamil brothers and sisters. Not only that, we are also experimenting on writing Sinhala pdf tutorials targeting dial up users. So they can easily download and view the lessons.

 We are a site who is always looking forward to improve with novel ideas from our viewers. We, at Kuppiya.com invite everyone to share knowledge and contribute free learning videos for the site.
