GNU/Debian Linux based systems

Do the following as 'root' (super user)

1. Add to /etc/apt/sources.list
2. Update repository metadata
• a. Debian 4.0 (Etch)
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/debian/i386/etch/ ./


• b. Debian testing (Lenny)
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/debian/i386/lenny/ ./


• c. Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) i386
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/ubuntu/i386/gutsy/ ./


• d. Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) amd64
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/ubuntu/amd64/gutsy/ ./


• e. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS i386
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/ubuntu/i386/gutsy/ ./


• f. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS amd64
deb http://sinhala.sourceforge.net/ubuntu/amd64/gutsy/ ./


• g. Ubuntu 8.10

3. Update repository metadata
apt-get update


4. Install Sinhala Packages
apt-get install sinhala-gnu-linux


5. Upgrade relevant packages
apt-get upgrade
(This step is optional and it can take a long time on slow internet connections)


6. Logout and login again. Environment variables need to be set/updated (NO NEED TO REBOOT)
